Detailed Procedures
Before Polls Open (5:30-7:00 AM)
- Setup operations: Establish your outdoor station:
- Set up tables, chairs, and signage (where permitted)
- Prepare voter lists and tracking sheets
- Organize water and snacks for volunteers
- Team briefing: Meet with your team:
- Review assigned voter lists
- Identify priority voters (elderly, disabled)
- Confirm communication protocols
- Coordinate transport: Verify driver assignments and routes
During Voting (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Voter tracking: Implement your tracking system:
- Mark off voters as they arrive
- Note time of arrival for pattern analysis
- Update status in real-time
- Turnout management: Drive voter participation:
- Send reminders to supporters who haven't voted
- Organize group arrivals for maximum visibility
- Address any voter concerns or issues
- Transport coordination: Manage voter transportation:
- Dispatch drivers for priority voters
- Optimize routes based on demand
- Handle special needs requests
- Information flow: Maintain communication:
- Receive updates from indoor agents via runners
- Report turnout numbers to supervisors
- Flag any issues immediately
After Polls Close (5:00 PM)
- Final push: Ensure all possible supporters have voted:
- Make last calls to outstanding voters
- Provide emergency transportation if needed
- Cleanup: Secure all materials and data
- Debrief: Meet with supervisor to:
- Submit final turnout reports
- Provide observations and feedback
- Receive instructions for results monitoring
