Key Responsibilities

As a JLP Driver, you are responsible for ensuring identified supporters reach their polling stations safely and efficiently, working in close coordination with Runners.

Coordination Note: Your success depends on constant communication with Runners who will identify voters needing transportation.
  • Transport voters from their homes to polling stations
  • Coordinate closely with assigned Runners
  • Prioritize elderly and disabled voters
  • Follow optimized routes for maximum efficiency
  • Maintain vehicle readiness throughout election day

Operational Process

Pre-Election Preparation

  • Ensure vehicle is fully operational and legal
  • Study assigned area and polling locations
  • Meet with Runners to coordinate plans
  • Identify potential parking challenges near polling stations

Election Day Morning

  • Arrive at assigned location by 5:30 AM
  • Confirm communication channels with Runners
  • Begin transporting early voters (elderly/disabled first)
  • Report any issues to Supervisor immediately

Peak Voting Hours

  • Respond quickly to Runner requests
  • Optimize routes based on real-time needs
  • Keep accurate count of voters transported
  • Take short breaks as coordinated with team

Final Push (After 3 PM)

  • Focus on remaining identified voters
  • Assist with any last-minute transportation needs
  • Help transport agents after polls close if needed

Successful voter transportation requires tight coordination:
